Our Advanced Apprenticeship pathways
- Automotive pathway
Working at the forefront of vehicle technology, you’ll support test developments to existing models or help build entirely new experimental concepts.
- Maintenance pathway
Keeping our manufacturing operation running as smoothly as possible, you’ll carry out preventative maintenance, diagnose faults and develop your problem solving on some truly cutting-edge equipment.
- Manufacturing Support pathway
In this area, you’ll work to improve our manufacturing techniques and processes – helping us deliver the highest quality end products.
- Tool room / Model Factory pathway
Combining traditional hand-skills with the latest technology, you’ll help maintain or develop some of our most innovative product developments.
Our Higher Apprenticeship pathways
- Product Development pathway
While completing your degree, you will be applying your engineering skills in one of two key areas. In Vehicle Calibration you will carry out various tests in order to gather and interpret performance data in support of our vehicle development programmes. The Computer Aided Design (CAD) role will develop your base understanding of forming and machining techniques, allowing you to blend Computer Aided Engineering and Modelling in delivering vehicle geometry.
- Production Supervision pathway
While you complete your degree, you’ll be growing your practical engineering know-how and developing your supervisory skills to ensure your team deliver high quality products within a fast-paced and cost-conscious manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing Engineering pathway
You will play a vital role in the launch planning and smooth delivery of exciting new products to our customers. Your degree will help you to focus upon advanced Manufacturing Techniques and the project management skills required in the launching of vehicles on time, every time.
- Finance pathway
You’ll develop a core understanding of engineering in addition to financial and analytical skills which will be put to use in our Engineering Cost Estimation department. Business Acumen is key in this area, so in addition to completing your degree, you will be exposed to several business functions as part of your development.
- Purchasing pathway
You’ll build your experience by solving supplier technical issues on our Manufacturing sites, alongside developing technical knowledge whilst studying for your degree. Your further development will include visiting suppliers to help them grow their lean manufacturing techniques and quality approach.
