Our Business Areas

Our success is fuelled by the expertise within each area of our business. We run two types of engineering Apprenticeship Schemes – Advanced and Higher. The majority of our Advanced Apprenticeship opportunities are in Product Development or Manufacturing, while our Higher Apprenticeships are in Production Supervision, Purchasing or Finance. You can join our Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme with GCSE level qualifications, and for our Higher Apprenticeship Scheme A Level or equivalent qualifications are essential. View more information on our entry requirements.

Our Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme

If you join the Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme you’ll either work in one of our manufacturing factories or vehicle workshop environments alongside our tradespeople.

Product Development

No matter how exceptional our vehicles are, we always feel we can make them better. Whether it’s through improved craftsmanship or fuel efficiency, increased power or comfort, we continually strive to outdo ourselves. To anticipate consumer demand, and stay ahead of the competition. And by using the world’s most advanced systems and facilities, the engineers on our Product Development team are able to enhance our vehicles in all the ways mentioned above – and many others as well.

As an Advanced Apprentice, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our engineers in a number of hands-on practical settings. These will range from tool room environments to vehicle preparation workshops.

Manufacturing

To make vehicles renowned for their quality, you need a top quality manufacturing process. One that is organised, robust and precise. One that uses new materials and technology. That ensures every single thing that goes into a vehicle adds value to that vehicle. In short, you need a manufacturing process like ours.

As an Advanced Apprentice, you’ll be part of our maintenance and manufacturing support teams. This will involve hands-on work within our factory environments, not to mention close collaboration with your colleagues.

Our Higher Apprenticeship Scheme

If you choose to join our Higher Apprenticeship Scheme you could join one of five pathways. This could be working in one of our factories alongside our Production Supervisors or joining our Product Development or Manufacturing Engineering Teams, developing your practical engineering know-how. Or you could use your engineering skills to support our staff teams in business areas such as Purchasing or Finance. This will not only develop you technically but hone your business acumen and people skills. While on your scheme you’ll earn NVQ2, NVQ3 and NVQ4 related to your technical pathway, as well as a fully sponsored Engineering Degree.

Once selected for either the Advanced or Higher Apprenticeship Scheme we will match your aptitudes, abilities and preferences against our business requirements to place you on the most appropriate skills pathway. View more information about the various training pathways.
