Graduate FAQs
I've read the information and am interested in applying. What happens now?
Our applications are now closed, however please click here to register your interest in a position with us and we will keep you updated with the latest opportunities.
Do you consider graduates from any degree discipline?
In many cases, yes. If you would like to join us in Purchasing, Human Resources or Marketing, Sales & Service, you could be studying any degree subject. If, however, you would prefer to follow an Engineering (Product Development or Manufacturing) route, you'll need to be working towards an appropriate engineering degree. Industry experience would also be preferable. For Finance and IT vacancies, a relevant degree is ideal, but not essential.
What are the entry requirements?
For our graduate positions, we currently require a 2.2 minimum undergraduate degree classification or equivalent.
I'm an international student. How do I complete the sections enquiring about A-level results?
You need to work out the equivalence of your qualification to the appropriate UK qualification - e.g. A-Level, etc. If you struggle to do this, then you should contact us (using the 'contact us' option at the bottom of the home page) and we will help you to do this.
Do you pay relocation expenses?
Relocation packages are not available for graduate roles but there is a joining payment. We can discuss this further during the recruitment process.
After the assessment centre, when will I hear how I've done?
You can expect news of the outcome within a week of your assessment centre.
If I am unsuccessful, will someone give me feedback?
Once you complete the assessment centre, feedback is available on request.
What about work permits and eligibility to work in the UK?
We are happy to accept applications from candidates who have secured UK work permits. The duration of your work permit will govern the length of your contract with us, and you will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK during the selection process. We regret that we cannot process work permit applications on behalf of candidates, therefore we ask that you only submit an application to us once you have secured the right to work in the UK.
What happens when the graduate programme ends?
Once you have completed our graduate programme, you will be welcomed as a fully-fledged member of the Jaguar Land Rover team. There will be no need to reapply for a further role.
Do you allow deferred entry?
Unfortunately, we do not allow for deferred entry onto the graduate programme. Should you be successful in your application and accept a position, the intention is that you will commence with us early September 2012.
Can I apply for more than one scheme?
Being committed to your chosen business area is important, so you can submit only one application at a time. If you are not successful then you can apply again for the same, or a different business area, in the following recruitment cycle.
