Selection Process
As part of the first stage of our selection process, we will ask you to fill out an online application form. The form is quite detailed, as we want to learn as much about you as possible. Make sure you set aside adequate time to accurately convey all of your abilities, as the information you provide will be the only information on which we can assess your application. If you need to, you can save your application at any point and return to complete it later.
Next, we'll then assess your application. If you are successful, we will invite you to complete additional online numeric, verbal and diagramatical reasoning exercises. And if you perform well in those, we will invite you to attend a one day assessment centre.
Should you be unsuccessful at the assessment centre stage, we'll provide you with feedback on request. We view each application as a valuable learning experience for both Jaguar Land Rover and each candidate. As such, we want you to enjoy, learn and grow from your participation.
If you are successful at the assessment centre stage, we will make you an offer. Assuming you meet the academic requirements and have the right to work in the UK during the placement periods, you will then be able to start your journey with us in June.
1. Online Application
Our applications are now closed, however please click here to register your interest in a position with us and we will keep you updated with the latest opportunities.
2. Application Screening
We pre-screen applications as they come in rather than screen them all after the deadline. As a result, you should learn the outcome of your initial application within six weeks of submitting it.
3. Online Psychometric Testing
(Verbal, Numerical & Diagrammatical Reasoning)
Should you be successful during the initial application screening you will be invited by email to take three online psychometric tests. You will be given seven days in which to complete them. Online test results will be validated at assessment centres by re-administration under supervised conditions.
4. Assessment Centre
Should you be successful during the initial application screening and complete the online tests as required then, depending on your performance, you could be invited to the final stage of the selection process - an assessment centre.
5. Offer
If you are successful during the assessment centre stage, you should expect to hear the outcome within a week. We would then make a formal offer to you in writing shortly after that.
6. Start Date
Our undergraduate intake - for both 3-month and 12-month placements - traditionally starts in late June each year.
