FAQs
Following my application when should I expect to hear back?
We'll email you by mid-April, at the latest, to confirm whether you've reached the next stage of the process.
What are the different types of apprenticeship training offered by Jaguar Land Rover?
We offer two different types of Apprenticeship Schemes - the Advanced Apprenticeship Scheme and Higher Apprenticeship Scheme.
Go to our Apprenticeship Schemes page for more information.
What is like to work for Jaguar Land Rover?
Jaguar Land Rover is a dynamic and innovative business that invests strongly in new technologies and sustainability. You'll be encouraged to 'Think Green' from day one, considering all the waste you produce and where we can save resources.
We offer an organised and professional working environment. We'll expect you to behave appropriately - coming to work regularly and on time, and giving your role everything you've got throughout your whole apprenticeship.
When do the Apprenticeship Schemes start?
If you pass our assessment process and achieve the grades required for your role, you'll start at the beginning of September.
You will be based full-time at the college between September and June during your first year, and then in the workplace you are assigned to.
How do you assign to pathways?
You will be allocated a pathway within the first month of starting on the scheme. If you have preferences, they will be taken into account where possible, but it is based on your assessment centre performance and business need.
How do I apply?
You can apply online. We do not accept any other forms of application.
Where are the Apprenticeship Schemes based?
Our Apprentices are based at the new Wolverhampton site, the Merseyside site or the West Midland sites.
If you apply for an opportunity in the West Midlands, then the particular site you'll be based at will depend on the pathway you're on and the requirements for that particular role. Also, as part of your training, you may be asked to work at other sites from time to time.
Do the Apprenticeship Schemes lead to a confirmed job offer at the end of the apprenticeship?
This is certainly our aim and the reason why we invest so much in our apprentices. However, nothing can be guaranteed. Of course, by working hard and showing us you have the talent to help us succeed, you'll give yourself every chance of getting a permanent job here. Either way, though, you'll have gained valuable and highly transferable skills.
What about Equal Opportunities?
Jaguar Land Rover has a broad mix of employees and we welcome applications from men and women of all backgrounds. Moreover, we guarantee each application will be treated fairly and without discrimination.
Do you make reasonable adjustments for people with disabilities?
Yes, we accommodate individuals with disabilities. It's important that you inform us of any particular requirements you have during the as early on in the application process as possible so that we can make any adjustments straight away.
How do I contact you for further information?
If you have a specific question that's not covered on this site, please email us at jaguarlandrover@tmpw.co.uk.
Is feedback provided on my application?
Feedback is provided for those who attend an assessment centre, and should that be the case, then you will be informed how to request it. Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications, we can not provide feedback for successful candidates at earlier application stages.
