WHAT TO EXPECT

 

In this senior controls role, you will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to lead a highly skilled, dynamic maintenance and controls team based in Hams Hall. You will contribute towards the long-term success of Jaguar Land Rover by leading your multi-faceted controls team in the battery manufacturing facility/Centre with new manufacturing assets. The manufacturing asset footprint includes numerous modern technologies encompassing automated multi-axis robots, automated welding and joining equipment, laser joining systems, automated conveyors, complex tooling and fixturing and lifting equipment to name but a few.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Champion the delivery of a consistent maintenance strategy across the plant

  • Produce continuous improvement plans while continually improving maintenance methodologies

  • Support the training and development of maintenance personnel including from high technical level of ability of fault finding and prevent re occurrence.

  • Champion departmental 5S activities ensuring workplace organisation targets are achieved to standard – System Back ups and documentation records.

  • Support and maintain the area staffing and ensure it is within operational constraints to achieve operational targets

 

Essential:

 

  • Previous maintenance leadership experience gained from within a similar role in a maintenance operational environment in manufacturing

  • Ability to lead a large team of people in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrable experience in lean manufacturing methodologies including TPM, 5S, Kaizen and PPS (Practical Problem Solving) techniques

  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively cross-functionally at different levels

  • Ability to enable your team for success in delivery of reactive, planned and corrective maintenance activities
