We are looking for a Configurator Product Owner to join the Web team in the JLR Customer Experience centre of excellence.

This an exciting role in which the successful applicant will be responsible for owning and managing the product content updates to our web configurators (The ‘Build Your Own’ tool on our websites). This requires an enthusiastic and self-motivating individual who will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate product content updates, that provide a world class configurator experience for our products.
 

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Manage the ongoing product content updates to the Configurator tool for given carlines (each team member will own the configurator content updates for a given brand – Range Rover, Defender, Discovery, Jaguar)
• Manage the aggregation of product data, product briefs, pricing information and cross functional inputs required to produce the web configurator.
• Project manage web configurator delivery across the JLR internal & supplier resources.
• Collaborate with the JLR Digital Creative team on CGI asset creation, for use in the configurators and support with product reviews.
• Lead configurator reviews and feedback sessions with cross functional senior stakeholders, that ensure product accuracy and optimum user experience.
• Produce reports for JLR launch planning gateways to define the status of Configurator productions and raise areas of risk/missing critical inputs.
• Support the Global Configurator Manager and Enhancements Product Owner with optimising the configurator user experience for given carlines, with any unique user experience recommendations to be added in to the Configurator development roadmap.
• Ad hoc support with post-launch updates to Configurator content or functionality
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.
   

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• A digital subject matter expert preferably in automotive sector (automotive experience is not mandatory for the right candidate).
• Excellent Project Management skills
• Ability to work independently and proactively, taking ownership and responsibility for successful delivery of workstreams
• Excellent ability to maintain effective working relationships with a cross functional team in JLR and with external partner agencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to problem solve under high pressure and during time sensitive projects.
• Ability to manage embargoed/confidential information, data and assets.
• Deliver on commitments and promote mutual trust with fellow cross functional team members.
