WHAT TO EXPECT

 

eMachine Design for Manufacture Engineers are responsible for overseeing the integration of eMachine rotor/stator assemblies and associated components within the EDU, preparing all 2D manufacturing drawings for component and assemblies, and ensuring that the manufacturing processes of all eMachine components and assemblies align to the Bill of Process and standards set down by Manufacturing and Company Quality.

 

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Leading the integration of the electric machine within the EDU
  • Leading the CAD team members in the mechanical design of the unit in line with the delivery timing / cost targets as well as drawing release process.
  • Lead tolerance stack analyses for eMachine rotor and stator subassemblies.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering on defining in-process manufacturing techniques and quality control measures for all eMachine subassemblies and in-house manufactured components.
  • Drive the development of Bill of Design for rotor and stator subassemblies and liaise with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure alignment with Bill of Process and Manufacturing Design & Process specifications.
  • Support the development of eMachine DFMEA, ensuring all failure modes relating to rotor and stator subassemblies are captured and clear linkage to test verification is present. Specification of SCSS to internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Good understanding of eMachine method of operation.
  • Experience in tolerance stack analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD for CAE, technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong knowledge of DFMEA developing process and associated tools.
  • Aptitude for identifying and solving complex engineering problems.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
