WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Supply Chain Network Risk and Resilience team is part of the Supply Chain Innovation and Excellence team and works to define and drive areas of strategic focus for the Supply Chain Organisation and the enterprise, particularly on long term supply chain risks and resilience building measures.

 

As a the Operational Risk Manager you will get the opportunity to be in a key role in leading a team of Supply Chain specialists in working cross functionally to identify long terms risks that could impact our end to end value chain and shape and deliver strategies that minimise and mitigate risk and build resilience as well as delivering change initiatives to drive transformation in in our business processes, tools and governance that enable this.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Represent the Supply Chain organisation in long term network risk and resilience workstreams.
  • Innovation scanning and benchmarking and academic partnering to access insight in world class risk detection and resilience building
  • Lead a specialist team of supply chain specialists working cross functionally in the development of network resilience strategies, continuity plans and scenario playbooks for long term risks identified
  • Support transformation sprints to deliver target operating model for risk and resilience for the enterprise – defining clear resources required and clarity on responsibilities and roles of the Supply Chain Strategy team
  • Lead the development and use of intelligent scenario modelling to understand long term risk exposure and recommend supply chain changes to deliver supply chain resilience
  • Support the supply chain mapping and transparency workstream, working closely with the Supply Chain Transformation Office to define the requirements of a digital solution for mapping JLR value streams to T.N to support sustainability and network resilience needs

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Essential:

  • An effective and authentic leader, who actively cares and supports team members whilst driving high standards
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of key Supply Chain issues and challenges including globalisation, product and process digitisation, drivers of supply chain risk, supply chain strategy development to build resilience.
  • Strong appreciation for changing policy, technology and socio-economic macro trends that could impact JLR’s global supply chain.
  • Experience of change management and delivering transformational change projects for process, systems and people
