JLR has a great opportunity to join the Manufacturing Excellence team that will drive the achievement of Process Excellence for our business processes landscape relating to the Launch and change management activity of the Production Eco-system through the definition and implementation of the appropriate Processes & Standards, Tools & Methods, Systems and Training activity.

 

In this role, you will partner with the Plant Launch leadership to support key areas of the launch activity with their production readiness and agile transformation. You will coach at a group/squad level around production readiness principles, ways of working, mindset, and behaviours – Production readiness principles should lead the implementation over, and above existing legacy ways of working defined in process & methods. 

 

The Manufacturing Launch and Change Coach role will be a highly cross functional activity based with the Plant environment with a great level of complexity that requires engagement across the manufacturing team and external stakeholders.

 

Please note that we have a number of vacancies available for this position and location can vary, therefore flexibility for travel will be required.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Lead and deliver a structured approach to the Production system launch and change activity using business process improvement methods in order to develop more effective and efficient ways of working through:
    • Definition of the process structure and accountabilities. 
    • Definition of process standards, risk assessments, governance and Production readiness maturity KPI’s. 
    • Definition supporting of systems, tools and methods.
    • Process implementation through training and coaching.
    • On-going audit, assessment and continuous improvement initiatives to drive organisational competence.
  • Define and implement the required tools and methods to support the process.
  • Effective stakeholder management and contracting to ensure projects add value and are aligned to stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure continuous improvement within the area of responsibility and support continuous improvement events and activities.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their leadership in connection with their job as may be requested.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Relevant Business Process Improvement experience gained at an appropriate level to drive enterprise level change.
  • Broad knowledge and experience of Manufacturing technologies, process & product change management within a comparable organisation. 
  • Experience of managing a multi-skilled team.
  • Evidence of leadership capability and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience of Project Management and use of Project Management techniques
