WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The V2G System Design Lead engineer role sits within the Electric Power Control Chapter and deployed into (dis)Charging Product Group. This role requires technical expertise and experience on EVSE communication & GRID interactions.

• Manages JLR requirement deck & relevant system artefacts for V2G.

• Will be the SPoC for V2D System design activities for our BEV Products.

• Will work with Charging TS to design and develop JLR specific use cases and systems for V2G.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

 

As a V2G System Design Lead engineer, you ‘ll be,

• This role is instrumental in defining V2G functionality for JLR BEV products

• Act as SPoC for all stakeholders on V2G system design supporting the charging TS.

• Will lead end to end delivery and test case definition for V2G

• Define and own all relevant requirements and UML based system artefacts relevant to V2G.

• Support the squad(s) in design reviews, FMEAs and any problem-solving activities relevant to V2G.

• Lead network definition and approval, cascade requirements and system artefacts to downstream stakeholders and support review & approval post cascade.

• Need to work with inhouse software teams, suppliers and downstream stakeholder squads to facilitate vehicle level delivery of V2G.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

Essential:

• Demonstratable working & delivery experience on V2G using charging communication standards.

• Knowledge of grid connection protocols and grid codes

• Knowledge of feature delivery processes and relevant toolsets

• Capability of cross functional co-ordination and management

• Capability to conceptualise information on charging standards into use cases and system behaviours.

• Knowledge and working experience with system engineering principles.

• Expert in presenting work at Agile ceremonies and tech review forums

• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross functional and senior stakeholders.
