WHAT TO EXPECT

The EVSE Communications Lead engineer role sits within the Electric Power Control Chapter and deployed into (dis)Charging Product Group. This role requires technical expertise and experience on EVSE comms systems.

• Manages JLR requirement deck & relevant system artefacts for Charging communication.

• Will be the SPoC for EVSE communication design activities for our BEV/PHEV Products.

• Will work with Charging TS to design and develop JLR specific use cases and systems for charging communications.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

As a EVSE Communications Lead engineer, you ‘ll be,

• This role is responsible for defining and owning the link between charging communication standard (ISO 15118-2/-20, DIN 70121, GBT 27930, Chademo) and JLR’s core charging system requirements.

• Act as SPoC for all stakeholders on charging communications supporting the charging TS.

• Will lead end to end delivery and test case definition for charging comms at large.

• Define and own all relevant requirements and UML based system artefacts relevant to charging communications.

• Support the squad(s) in design reviews, FMEAs and any problem-solving activities relevant to charging communications.

• Lead network definition and approval, cascade requirements and system artefacts to downstream stakeholders and support review & approval post cascade.

• Need to work with inhouse software teams, suppliers and downstream stakeholder squads to facilitate vehicle level delivery of charging communications.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Demonstratable working & delivery experience on Charging communication standards.

• Knowledge of feature delivery processes and relevant toolsets

• Capability of cross functional co-ordination and management

• Capability to conceptualise information on charging standards into use cases and system behaviours.

• Knowledge and working experience with system engineering principles.

• Expert in presenting work at Agile ceremonies and tech review forums

• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross functional and senior stakeholders.
