JOB TITLE: IT Project Manager
SALARY: £48,000 - £52,000

This role will be expected to work across several different projects simultaneously, managing time effectively, prioritising tasks accordingly in support of vehicle programmes at JLR and support the appropriate Portfolio Managers as required.


The IT Projects Manager will be an integral member of the IT Project Delivery (PD) Organisation within the Global Manufacturing & Supply chain (GM&SC IT) team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced IT Project Manager who will be required to manage existing and new project teams and deliver approved projects.


You’ll work alongside the functions Product Managers to carryout application analysis, problem identification and resolution, coach and mentor project teams in the capability and deployment approach for Plant Floor and Supply Chain applications within the JLR manufacturing environment.


As the Project Manager you’ll also be required to -


  • Lead on multiple projects, ensuring project delivery to required timescale, quality and cost.
  • Plan and design projects to ensure successful governance and project delivery
  • Proactively monitor projects health through the resolution of risks and issues and initiate corrective action where required
  • Partner with relevant manufacturing and logistics process owners, and Business engagement leads, to ensure that all project deliverables are met.
  • Manage the projects budget by monitoring and reporting costs against scope and forecast spend
  • Management and application of required Governance including milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management





As the IT Project manager you’ll need the following skills and experience.


  • Previous experience of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects, including risks management / dependency management.
  • Credibility within the projects environment and ability to influence others.
  • Project delivery experience for complete lifecycle of the project is essential.
  • Good knowledge and previous experience of budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and proven ability to put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base.
  • Ability to manage significant risks and issues.
  • Proven supplier management experience.
