This role operates on a rotating three shift pattern of earlies, lates and nights.

In the Manufacturing team at the Battery Assembly Centre (BAC), you'll help power iconic electric cars. As a Laser Welding Technician, you’ll ensure welding systems are production-ready, optimise processes, and keep operations running at peak performance. You’ll play a key role in building electric and hybrid battery packs for next-generation vehicles.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As a Laser Welding Technician your responsibilities will include the below:

  • Program and optimise laser welding processes
  • Reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot faults and deliver permanent fixes
  • Support maintenance, documentation, and reliability
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

  • Laser welding experience
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience with battery or micro TIG welding
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of weld monitoring and process control
