WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Jaguar Land Rover Battery Assembly Centre (BAC) is one of the company's cornerstone projects in delivering its electrification strategy. As a BAC team member, you will be playing a fundamental part in this historic change, as we will supply for the first time, both electric and hybrid electric battery packs to our vehicle plants. 
 
This is an exciting time to be part of Jaguar Land Rover as it transforms to deliver the most significant shift in vehicle manufacturing for a generation.

 

Taking your place as a Material Flow and Packing Analyst, you’ll be integral to the development of the plant, and our rapidly-expanding future. You’ll work collaboratively with a range of departments to develop material flow and packaging solutions, taking accountability for ensuring new assembly line Launch project steps are accomplished. 

 

Support the definition and improvement of material flow inside the factory and work with the logistics service provider to guarantee there is a clear understanding and execution of daily activities. 

 

Key responsibilities to include:

 

•    Develop and define how parts are supplied to assembly line (lineside) – Value Stream Mapping and Material Flow
•    Ensure parts are handled in the best containers to both optimise internal transport and ease operation’s use
•    Check for conformance in SAP regarding parts handling
•    Collate reports and analyse data using SAP, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
•    Warehouse management (parts storage)

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Applications are welcomed from individuals who have demonstrable SAP user experience coupled with advanced analytical and MS Excel skills. Logistics experience within a Manufacturing environment and an understanding of AutoCAD would be advantageous. 

 

You’ll have advanced communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across multiple functions. Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and to tight deadlines is a must, to be able to make quick accurate decisions within demanding situations.
