As a Welding Technician here at JLR, you will ensure the efficient operation of automated welding stations by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining high machine availability. The role is critical in supporting production readiness and delivering consistent weld quality.
This role will be required to work a three shift pattern consisting of nights, afternoons, mornings.

- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on welding equipment to required standards, ensuring accurate documentation for compliance and traceability
- Maintain high machine uptime by monitoring equipment performance and proactively preventing breakdowns
- Diagnose and resolve welding and technical issues impacting downtime or weld quality, working closely with engineering and production teams
- Ensure all welds meet specified quality standards and customer requirements, supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Adhere to strict health & safety, and compliance requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Proven experience in welding processes and automated welding systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance principles and lean manufacturing practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
