JOB TITLE: Model and Hardware Engineer - HIL
LOCATION: Budapest




The story of Jaguar Land Rover Hungary dates to 2018, when the very first employees were hired. Since then, we moved into our brand-new office in downtown Budapest, laid down the foundation of Chassis, Electronic and ADAS engineering and currently more than 150 engineers work on various automotive products ranging from software through hardware components till full vehicle testing.   

The ADAS division designs, develops and tests innovative solutions in the Advanced and Automated Driving domain for all the vehicle programs under the Jaguar Land Rover brand. Jaguar Land Rover invest sa lot in future technologies development and testing, which means you will have the possibility to work on the latest and most advanced features in the Advanced and Automated Driving domain, you’ll have access to our state-of-the-art test equipment and drive the future of advanced driver assistant technologies.  



  • You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Hardware In the Loop test environments on Component and System Level 
  • You will be responsible to design and delivery of Hardware In the Loop HIL solutions. 
  • You will integrate Assisted and Automated driving related SW/HW components to the HIL system. 
  • You will be responsible for HIL Test Environment acceptance criteria definition and HIL Systems successful commission. 
  • You will gather plant model requirements. 
  • You will collaborate with other HIL groups and ADAS feature owners. 
  • You will be working in an international team. 




  • Degree in electrical or mechatronics or mechanical engineering or comparable. 
  • Experience in building complex systems. 
  • Experience in software or hardware integration. 
  • Good analytical skills and be able to think out of the box. 
  • Experience in building and debugging HIL or complex system environment. 
  • Good understanding of vehicle communication networks. 
  • You need to be a good team player. 
  • High level of proactivity and independency 


It will be considered as a bonus  

  • Matlab/Simulink experience (especially in  s-functions creation and C/C++ integration) 
  • Any HIL simulation experience (Powertrain, Transmission, Power steering, Active Safety, etc)

Our brand new office is located in the centre of Budapest’s prime office Váci corridor. Five minutes from downtown, GTC White House is easily accessible by public transport and car.
