JOB TITLE: Modeling & Simulation Engineer
LOCATION: Budapest



Jaguar Land Rover are developing state of the art automated driving systems for worldwide deployment. As part of JLR ADAS pre-development team your task will be to support the development of the future ADAS system generation, which will see our vehicle progressing to full autonomous driving, referred to as an L4+ autonomous driving system, by 2030.

In order to fulfil this vision, JLR is working on specific modelling and simulation toolchains that aim to build in house software in the loop and modelling in the loop verification and validation capabilities to guarantee the robustness of software developed both in house or delivered by suppliers to minimise the number of actual driving tests.



  • Development of a simulation platform to support lifecycle of ADAS and Automated Driving systems development from the initial phase up to full system testing (Use case simulation, Requirements in the loop, Model in the loop, Software in the loop testing).
  • Analysis of big data representing vehicle and sensor recordings.
  • Analysing and monitoring the efficiency and stability of the system
  • Development of digital twins of real locations
  • Design test cases for Requirements in the loop, Model in the Loop, Software in the Loop
  • Understand complex user requirements and decompose them into functional, system, and detailed software requirements and architecture.
  • Map Rhapsody architecture into Simulink/Stateflow
  • Map DOORS requirements in Simulink/Stateflow
  • Participate in design and code reviews

As well as having passion for our world class products, you have:

  • Experience in modelling and simulation domain
  • Good foundation in Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow
  • Interest in highly automated driving development
  • Base knowledge of object-oriented design principles
  • Interest working in a multidisciplinary team

It will be considered as a plus, if you have:

  • Knowledge in any programming / scripting language (C/C++, python, Java, or similar)
  • Knowledge of openDrive or openScenario standard
  • Knowledge of version control programs (git, svn)
