JOB TITLE: Software Lead Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Plan and deliver EDU’s actuator controls software and electronic hardware to achieve engineering signoff.
• In line with programme milestone requirements.
• Manage supplier delivery of Hardware and Software to meet the JLR programme deliverables and timing.
• Be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of the software releases during the pre-production and provide post Job1 support for service and quality actions.
• Report out status and issues to the Module and Group leaders and seniors.
• Adhere to software quality processes in accordance with ASPICE to ensure robust software delivery to production.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Relevant degree
• Have extensive experience of the whole engineering development lifecycle (V-model, ASPICE) including system and software engineering principles
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills to negotiate deliverables and priorities with peers
• Strong supplier management capability and proven experience of influencing suppliers in delivery
• Strong analytical skills and techniques demonstrated in the resolution of complex software and system issues
• Have a solid understanding of vehicle architecture and system interfaces
• Experience with system engineering approaches
• Strong planning mindset to ensure robust plans are developed
• Hands-on experience on ETAS INCA, Vector CANalyser/CANoe, Hardware in the Loop (HIL), simulation, testing and automation
• A good electrical and software engineering background
