THE OPPORTUNITY

We are searching for a CAE Lead Engineer to expand the Special Vehicle Operations Propulsion team here at Jaguar Land Rover.

The successful CAE Lead Engineer will be responsible for concept development and problem resolution with both Core and Programme teams, delivering vehicle programme simulations as required.

You will provide support and mentoring to Simulations Engineers and non-Simulation Engineers in defining the information required to produce robust models and system / sub-system solutions.

In addition, you will manage the creation of Propulsion System Models and development of appropriate standards as well as undertaking any other work as directed by your line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

It is essential that you have previous, hands on experience with Powertrain simulations, Strong IT skills with significant experience of using virtual engineering tools and full capability with GT suite for 1D cooling simulations. You will need previous programme delivery experience, with strong influencing and engagement skills.

It is desirable that you have experience of concept generation and cross functionality problem resolution, detailed knowledge and understanding of specific car components, or systems and sub-systems and strong project management skills.
