As an Electronics Validation and Calibration Engineer within Product Engineering (Powertrain Electrification) you will be responsible for the on-time delivery of the calibration in with quality and cost targets and development of calibration and validation methods. This is in addition to the contribution to the calibration and validation plan through the whole product development lifecycle and to develop and maintain engineering design documentation for calibration and validation activities.

 

The successful candidate will be instrumental in the calibration and validation of Traction Inverters in support of Jaguar Land Rovers future electrified powertrains.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You will have the extensive technical knowledge and experience of calibration or validation experience working with automotive powertrain/drivetrain components. In addition, you will possess a comprehensive knowledge of automotive communication protocols and hardware (Flexray, CAN, CAN-FD, LIN) and failure mode avoidance experience with demonstrable knowledge of associated processes such as DFMEA. Furthermore, you will have proven experience developing and executing electronics validation methods and plans (Functional, Performance, Efficiency, Fault Injection).

 

You will also have:

  • Experience developing and executing electronics calibration methods and plans (Test rig and vehicle level preferred)
  • Competent Matlab/Simulink user
  • Competent ETAS / Vector tools user
