We’re re-examining our vehicles and what a vehicle means in the emerging world of automation, connectedness, electrification and the shared economy. New ideas, new technology, and new approaches to mobility are our business. Join a team of next generation thinkers.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We’re focused on generating sustainable and profitable growth, expanding both our product range and presence around the world, and investing heavily in new products and advanced technologies to serve our growing global customer base.

Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems. You’ll play a key role in helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.

As part of this sustainable and profitable growth strategy, we’re bringing the Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) design and development in-house and you’ll be designing and developing the wiring harnesses installation as well as all the design validation activities.

If you want to be part of this new era of engineering and part of an exciting team made of diverse skills this is the right opportunity for you!

In addition you’ll be responsible for:

  • Generating and reviewing circuit system diagrams from device transmittals.
  • Calculating wire sizes, voltage drops and fuse blow times on the relevant circuits.
  • Generating power and ground circuit diagrams.
  • Assisting in the design of the harnesses ensuring that designs meet specifications.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We’re looking for the successful candidate to have technical experience of Electrical Distribution Systems design engineering. If you also have a working knowledge of 2D/3D wiring harnesses geometry, change control, product definition and change management processes to support the review of feasible product actions, this will be beneficial.

It’s essential that you have knowledge and experience of vehicle electrical systems and circuits accompanied with working experience of VeSys Capital Logic Circuit Design Software.

In addition to this, you’ll need strong interpersonal skills as you’ll need to interact and work closely with many other business functions, from Body, Chassis and Marketing and Sales, to Special Vehicles and Suppliers.

Jaguar Land Rover considers that this role meets the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list. Therefore, Jaguar Land Rover will support an application for visa sponsorship for this role.

SO WHY US?

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
