In your new role you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems. You’ll play a key role in helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.

 

As the Components Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for creating world leading CAD designs and models. Here you’ll design, develop, test, and introduce components to aid wiring harnesses routing such as plastic carriers, metal brackets and grommets.. To ensure all model attributes are completed, you’ll manage created CAD parts into product lifecycle management applications. You’ll validate components in line with our specifications and take CAD designs from concept through to finished model, whilst producing finished drawings for engineering release where applicable.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You'll have previously worked within a multi-discipline Engineering team and have experience of technical problem resolution as well as knowledge of system validation processes.

You’ll have the ability to present technical reports and understand complex Bill of Materials, vehicle electrical circuits, as well as experience with CATIA V5.

 

In addition to this, you’ll need the ability to work in a mixed team of skilled Original Equipment Manufacturers and Supplier Engineers in the design, development and delivery of Electrical Distribution Systems, including prototype build support.
