A new opportunity has arisen for an experience Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Manager join our Talent and Diversity team within the Talent and People Capability CoE and is responsible for driving a diversity and inclusion agenda across our business. 

As the Diversity and Inclusion Manager you will define and drive diversity and inclusion agenda across JLR, ensuring visibility of D&I for our employees and identifying external best practice and opportunities to transfer that to the way that we operate.  

You’ll also lead a small team (1-2) of D&I consultants, coaching and supporting them in the delivery of key projects.


You’ll also be responsible for: 

  • Build on the work already delivered to develop standards and guidelines for employee networks to enable the establishment of further networks within the business
  • Work closely with internal comms to identify internal communication channels to raise the visibility of D&I initiatives within the business (in an aligned manner)
  • Identify other critical governance structures needed to drive a more focused D&I agenda within HR
  • Deliver reporting in line with D&I plans and respond to ad-hoc data requests 
  • Work with partner organisations (e.g. Stonewall) to ensure external insight is developed and applied internally
  • Identify further critical external relationships to enable JLR to access up-to-date research and best practice
  • Build relationships with external D&I professionals to enable sharing of best practice and benchmarking
  • Manage and deliver the D&I agenda within budget, ensuring priorisation of investment to best deliver the defined roadmap 

To be successful in this role you’ll come from a similar role, have a strong understanding and passion for diversity and inclusion, with the ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style. 

You’ll be able to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, gaining trust, confidence and credibility quickly whilst being commercially astute with an ability to understand the business context that D&I supports. 

You’ll also have: 

  • The ability to combine the current business context and external best practice to deliver fit for purpose interventions
  • Strong data and analytical skills
  • General HR knowledge (desirable)
  • Experience of managing projects and activity plans
  • Previous experience of coaching/mentoring, and leading teams in the D&I space – setting clear objectives and managing to outcomes.
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Able to demonstrate clear decision-making capability – taking responsibility for outcomes.
