The Environmental Team within Estate Management currently has a number of individual sites within the scope of non-manufacturing works. The environmental compliance engineer’s role is a key position within the environmental team in ensuring JLR’s environmental management system is compliant across the estate.

Your Role will include maintaining and completing ISO14001 audits, prioritising high risk areas, scheduling and completion of a variety of audits, including site standards, waste duty of care audits, supplier duty of care audits, trade effluent audits & refrigerant (F-gas) audits.


You’ll also:

•             Build and manage a strong stakeholder network across all non-manufacturing sites; to include the co-ordination of local area environmental champions.

•             Management of the EIA (environmental impact assessment) process across all non-manufacturing sites.

•             Manage trade effluent discharge consents.

•             Manage the distribution and stock levels of emergency spill kits to support emergency response procedures.

•             Provide environmental compliance support as required.




You’ll join us with experience of managing, leading and reporting environmental audits and have expansive knowledge of environmental management systems and associated legislation.  You’ll have both excellent spoken and written communication skills and be a competent Microsoft Office user.


You’ll also have:

•             The ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.

•             Efficient time management to ensure all tasks are completed and any issues raised are closed out within agreed timeframes.  

•             ISO9001 internal auditor training qualification (desirable)

•             NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate (desirable)
