WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The successful candidate will carry out the deployment of functional safety across a set of electrification electronics, including Traction Inverters, On-Board Chargers, DCDC Converters or HV-Battery Managements Systems. Working on exciting projects which will involve a combination of engineering, analysis, training, audit and assessment of system level functional safety goals and the responsibility of those activities for the decomposed components targets for internal product development.

 

Main duties:

  • Responsible for guiding the delivery of ISO 26262 internally as well as potential tier 1 suppliers covering all aspects of the safety lifecycle.
  • Responsible for safety analyses techniques, particularly FMEA
  • Responsible for functional safety planning and management
  • Responsible for identifying hazards, performing risk assessment and classification
  • Responsible for preparing safety cases
  • Responsible for functional safety level system architectural design and technical review

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You will have 5 or more years of working within a functional safety role within automotive, aerospace, or an equivalent sector.  You will provide technical leadership to small project teams, bringing an understanding of failure mode avoidance techniques and their application in product development.

 

Key skills needed:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of project management
  • Ability to interface and communicate at all levels
  • Issue Management
  • Ability to build and manage multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments
