The Human Resources (HR) team at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has recently undergone a massive transformation project. That’s why we need your help to keep us focused as we move forward on our path to a successful transition.


The purpose of this role is to provide high quality support to the business to achieve its strategic goals through proactive HR Business Partnering. Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP’s) will build a credible productive partnership with the Operational Business.  This role will input and support the execution of the people and organisational plans, with a focus on organisation effectiveness, talent management, and building leadership capabilities.


Fundamental in leading your HR function, you’ll steer the business agenda together with your team of HR Managers. You’ll be instrumental in driving overall Organisation Design in your area as well as providing senior stakeholder input on people strategies and initiatives. Fostering the relationship between the Business Partners, Shared Service and Centre of Expertise, embedding and cementing the HRBP model will be key.
In your role you’ll:
• Ensure overall HR services meet the needs of the business function they represent
• Lead a team of HR Managers aligned to owned area
• Be responsible for client groups, which will typically be from 200 – 1,000 FTE depending on complexity (may include international clients)
• Provide coaching to leaders and drive the on-going development of line management people capability
• Conduct cross-functional talent and succession planning activity




As the HRBP you’ll need to be an outstanding leader with broad HR experience. You’ll also have knowledge of specialist areas including organisational design and talent management.


Your pragmatic, commercial approach, combined with real self-awareness and high emotional intelligence will ensure success in closely collaborating with colleagues across functions and geographies. As a resilient individual at ease with influencing challenging stakeholders you’ll also be an adept change manager.
You’ll need:


• Strong analytical skills, a strategic thinker, able to create a compelling vision and to gain business and HR buy in, with the ability to simplify and operationalise a clear business-orientated people strategy
• The ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the organisation, able to connect across a diverse range of people
• Preferably CIPD qualified
• To be a charismatic and people-centric leader, with the ability to motivate teams and set the performance bar high in teams working under pressure
• A common sense, structured, ‘no nonsense’ approach to getting things done at pace.
• To be passionate, proactive, enthusiastic and driven, bringing significant energy and excitement to the HR team along with commitment to the journey
