Jaguar Land Rover is increasing its capability and capacity of its Digital workforce to identify and automate activities across the Enterprise to free up colleagues to focus on more interesting and strategic elements of their role. This exciting role is part of our Intelligent Automation Centre of Excellence (COE) which has evolved from our Robotic Process Automation COE and combines traditional RPA technology with cognitive / Artificial Intelligence capabilities, upskilling our Digital workforce to read, interpret, analyse and support colleagues with enhanced decision-making. These new capabilities, combined with process improvement capabilities, such as lean six sigma will be applied to processes across JLR in order to unlock efficiency across end-to-end value streams by optimising delivery and improving process compliance. 


As part of our new Intelligent Automation CoE, this exciting role encapsulates process solution design and automation development to drive maximum benefits through use of RPA and other complimentary technologies, such as Smart Workflow tools, Optical Character Recognition (OC), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Python and SQL. 


The Role
The IT Project Controller is accountable for supporting the IA IT & Control Room manager to project manage the on-boarding of new technology partners and to manage existing IT projects in accordance with JLR IT policy, working closely with all members of the team to ensure all deliverables are delivered on-time, and to quality. The RPA tool of choice at Jaguar Land Rover is Blue Prism, the role holder will be experienced in working either with Blue Prism or with similar RPA tools, as well as have some knowledge and experience of other cognitive technologies.


The Intelligent Automation IT Project Controller will be responsible for the planning, sequencing, resourcing and reporting of all aspects of our IT strategy to ensure successful delivery of the committed business benefits. They will be responsible for supporting the IPA Management team and COE Project Controller to define and maintain the governance COE standards and manage any external audit activity. The IT Project Controller will also lead and support business improvement activity in the Control Room. Finally, they will stay abreast of emerging and complimentary technologies and will make recommendations to on-board new technology partners to maximise business benefit and to ensure the RPA COE at Jaguar Land Rover continues to embrace digital technologies.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities


IA Discovery:
•    Act as a champion for IA across JLR to ensure the business understands the value proposition and commits to the programme.
•    Act as a consistent point of contact for the business throughout the development lifecycle of each opportunity.


RPA Delivery:
•    Align and govern IPA COE Operating model with JLR IT policies.
•    Lead process to on-board agreed new technology partners.

Post Go Live Support:
•    Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the Control Room
•    Supports infrastructure and applications ensuring continuity of service 



To be successful in the role you will need to be results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver projects in a complex and fast moving environment. You will be effective in a team environment, able to develop and support team members and lead cross-functional collaborations. 


•    Project Management experience in IT or transformation related projects (preferably associated with Digital / Automation capabilities / technologies)
•    Experience in delivering presentations and reports 
•    Knowledge of proactive risk management 
•    Adaptable to changing circumstances and environment, dealing with conflicting priorities for self and others
•    Good written skills with the ability to produce clear, detailed and accurate documentation including well documented business processes
•    Familiar with the construction and definition of business cases, achieving business sign off and assessing the value of a project from the outset
•    Experience in supporting or developing RPA Solutions (Blue Prism would be preferable).
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
•    Ability to work with offshore delivery teams.
