In your new role, you’ll contribute to the planning of the overall system delivery, working with the system owners to support build and fleet updates.  Day to day this will consist of writing, designing and collating feature and system requirements, also co-ordination of Software Integration to vehicle build and schedules.

You’ll be responsible for testing systems to ensure that it has met specifications, and manage and look for solutions to any issues that arise. Using your leadership skills, you’ll co-ordinate with control system, hardware and software engineers to ensure robust and timely software deliveries.

This role will provide you with opportunities to support quality deliverables and reviews including ASPICE, and lead software issue investigations including manufacturing and warranty support when needed.

You will help us create a safer, cleaner and a smarter connected future and as a result of this, you will contribute to our corporate goals and success story.

To be successful in this role you’ll be a highly motivated and self-starting individual with effective leadership skills. Strong organisational, project management and communication skills are essential along with a thorough understanding of system engineering principles and the software development lifecycle. Experience is also required in Software requirements authoring and decomposition to software units as well as requirements and change management tools (e.g. IBM Rational DOORS, RTC or similar). You’ll also need to have knowledge of real time control systems design, with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment.

You will also have previous experience of automotive software delivery, with ADAS experience preferred but strong candidates from other backgrounds will also be considered. You will demonstrate the drive to maintain standards with cutting edge data science tools and methods whilst maintaining an understanding of the technologies that underpin autonomous and assisted driving.
