WHAT TO EXPECT

The Indirect Procurement Operations Purchasing Manager is responsible for operational reporting of our scorecard, supporting the Indirect Procurement department to develop best practice approach to procurement. The role will provide operational support and guidance on all Indirect Procurement related process issues and work with the Indirect Centre of Excellence teams who own the processes to ensure robust resolution. They will drive continuous improvement across the Indirect Procurement function and ensure the category teams are delivering against scorecard deliverables inc. savings targets, category strategy, supplier relationship management, ensuring efficiency measures, internal satisfaction levels and agreed timescales. Furthermore, the Operations Manager and team will ensure improved utilisation of P2P systems and eSourcing tools (e.g e-Auctions).

 

You’ll be responsible for Indirect Scorecard reporting inc. Chair of Savings Committee

You’ll lead the agenda and actions reporting for the Senior Leadership Team meetings

You’ll be responsible for the Indirect Communications Strategy & planning

You’ll need to be effective with the management of core indirect procurement processes – GSP, SAP Ariba

You’ll be responsible for supporting or leading the development of Indirect Transformational projects

You’ll be responsible for leading the Indirect Procurement Operating Committee inc. reporting the Indirect process ownership overdue status.

You’ll be responsible for the development of Indirect departmental presentations (at Director level).

You’ll establish and maintaining strong & effective working relationships with all stakeholders within the department and wider business

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll need previous experience in complex project management and /or Purchasing environment 

You’ll need strong influencing skills

You’ll need excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make autonomous decisions

You’ll need excellent stakeholder management and relationship management skills

You’ll need to be highly organised, with experience delivering in challenging project timescales

You’ll need to have strong commercial acumen

You’ll need to have excellent computer skills-Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Project scheduling

You’ll need a relevant Degree or equivalent working experience preferred

You’ll need to be highly agile with ability to manage and deliver multiple work streams within tight deadlines
