THE OPPORTUNITY 
We are searching for a Chassis Integration Engineer to expand the Chassis Integration team within our Special Vehicle Operations department, here at Jaguar Land Rover. 

 

The successful SVO Chassis Integration Engineer will be responsible for simulating Vehicle Loads and completing Axle Performance analysis and development in support of the JLR SVO Cycle Plan.  

 

This will involve Multi Body Systems analysis, vehicle modelling and simulation, assessing axle performance against System Design Specification targets and running Axle Error state simulation analyses.

 

Additional responsibilities will include generating vehicle Design Load Cases for use in component structural analysis, simulating extreme vehicle load cases and developing axle parameters to manage vehicle loads 
 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED 
It is essential that you have previous experience solving complex technical issues and will be a strong practitioner of Simpack and Multi Body Systems analysis.

 

Although not essential, it is preferred that you have previous experience in assessing and developing Axle systems to deliver vehicle level performance targets using virtual simulation tools, a good understanding of axle K&C (Kinematics and Compliance) data and its relevance to vehicle attributes as well as working knowledge of automotive vehicle testing (Driven and Rig test)

 

In addition to the above, the successful Chassis Integration Engineer will need to have a customer first mindset and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team. You will be a good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas and new learning.
