Jaguar Land Rover are recruiting for a Strategic Partnerships Analyst. This is a part of the global financial services team and their mission statement ‘is to deliver optimal Financial Services solutions through best-in-class Partners to maximise sales, revenues and customer retention’

 

The Strategic Partnerships Analysts is a key role in supporting the implementation as well as shaping future GFS strategy via supporting the tender, selection and appointment of best-in-class FS partners in each JLR territory.

 

Key experience:

  • Presenting complex value propositions to NSC & HQ senior management teams and close support the managing and closing of complex partnership negotiations
  • Contract negotiating skills
  • Experience of the purchasing process
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills to build and maintain relationships and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, in particular, the ability to draw logical conclusions from a range of diverse source materials and present them in a clear and engaging way.
  • An excellent understanding of developing and managing the pipeline of prospective Strategic FS partners is essential, as well as a real aptitude for business development and relationship management
  • Work towards wider organisational goals and purposes to continually enhance the company’s performance
  • Background in commercial management, establish complex commercial arrangements
  • Degree level and / or professional qualification (or equivalent) preferable

 

Your main responsibilities will be to:
 

 

  • Support the end-to-end GFS Tender Process from market investigation through to FS Partner (FSP) selection, Document & maintain the tender process, communicating it widely to impacted stakeholders and update it through continual lessons learned processes, lead the market preparation & planning phase, identifying gaps and opportunities in FS provisions and with existing FSP’s, conduct the compliant RFQ process, ensuring all stakeholders are working towards a single aligned plan up to selection, administer, collate and filing of FSP tender bids, consolidating into comparable formats to allow for objective partner selection, support commercial negotiations with existing & prospective FSP’s on behalf of GFS – size of commercial terms negotiations outcomes can result in upward of £100m savings to JLR, provide input & support Steering meetings and other governance forums with senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the collaboration within GFS and other HQ departments & stakeholders, including OGC, Tax, Technical Accounting, Treasury etc to ensure aligned and optimal partnership outcomes
  • Coordinate the collaboration with the NSC / Market senior Commercial Management team to ensure aligned and optimal partnership outcomes
  • Support GFS negotiations with FSP head of Partnerships & other FSP key stakeholders of all management levels up to CEO. 
  • Manage the pipeline of existing Partnership contracts to ensure that assessments are conducted at each breakpoint. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners. Build relationships with key executive counterparts in the auto financial industry and serve as a key escalation point in negotiations and discussions with key influencers 
  • Liaise with FS Strategy Managers to ensure the longer-term GFS strategy is embedded within the future tender process.
