WHAT TO EXPECT

The Mercia Programme has been given approval to develop a new, purpose-built warehouse campus near to Junction 11 of the M42 at Tamworth. This will give the Global Parts Supply Chain the physical capacity to support the long-term profitable growth of the Parts & Accessories business and deliver significant cost reductions over time. The new facility will fully transform the JLR Global Aftermarket Supply Chain Operations through a journey that will future proof our Business and IT, supporting the future growth and delivering customer satisfaction.

 

We are now looking for a Process and System analyst who holds subject matter expertise or experience in Supply chain business and system processes, with a broader appreciation of Project management principles to join our team.

 

The candidate will focus predominantly delivery of Operational and System process delivery on SAP ECC (ERP Central Component) system, EWM Warehouse Management, responsible for implementing and deploying the new Global Parts Logistics Centre processes, while working with other business functions that integrate into the JLR operations. The role focuses heavily on embedding and transitioning from existing operations into the new operation and solutions.


KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Being a Process and System Analyst across multiple work packages, you will be responsible for supporting the creation and maintenance of detailed work plans which identify, and sequence required activities, owners and delivery dates throughout the Project lifecycle.
  • In collaboration with our stakeholders, support the delivery of business transformation scope and requirements in line with our roll out plan 
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and to the agreed specification
  • Act as a support and where required lead in meetings to ensure full representation on key issues 
  • Provide Supply Chain subject matter expertise to the immediate team as well as the wider Mercia Programme, acting as main point of contact for the team
  • Work cross functionally to ensure robust and effective processes are developed for the Global Parts Logistics Centre (GPLC), considering relevant integration with key department’s i.e. Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Finance, Pricing, New Parts Introductions, etc. 
  • Establish positive working relationships across multiple functions both internally and externally to ensure collaborative approach in achieving desired improvement
  • Collate information for management reports as required
  • Establish positive and collaborative relationships with our various Stakeholders and be a trusted advisor to them, supporting their transition needs to develop & embedded robust and effective processes 
  • Support the BAU team with transition of services from project life cycle into business as usual

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED


Essential

  • Experience of operations, problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Must be able to manage own priorities, work independently & take initiative, whilst maintaining transparency and following escalation processes / taking direction where required 
  • Well organised and process orientated with great attention to detail
  • Proficient in process development, mapping and delivery
  • Knowledge of a Warehouse Management Systems and ECC systems and key areas within the supply chain & logistics business
  • Have strong analytical skills to: 
    • execute root cause analysis on complex data
    • identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support, or from own knowledge base
    • effectively present this complex data & issues to a varied audience, including senior stakeholders
    • act as ‘translator’ between IT & Business
  • Adaptable to a rapidly evolving and fast pace environment whilst displaying positivity, agility and resilience 
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to hold self and others accountable
  • Consistently demonstrates Customer First Principles 
  • Confident communicator and an outgoing nature 
  • Strong working knowledge of Automotive Aftermarket processes or relative Supply chain and logistics processes and principles 
  • Knowledge or Experience in dealing with global supply chain networks and multiple business functions in supply chain
  • Confident communicator and an outgoing nature
  • Knowledge of SAP (ECC) Data and System Processes
     

Desirable

  • Detailed knowledge of Aftermarket Systems, Process and Data landscape
  • Previous experience of process and system implementations and roll out 
  • Strong presenting and training skills
  • Experience of supervising / managing others 
  • Strong IT Desktop skills including Microsoft Viso, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint plus collaborative tools (Microsoft Office, WRIKE, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience of working in a Project based team
  • Experience working within a Logistics or Supply Chain environment or operation
