JOB TITLE: Technical Accounting Analyst
SALARY: £40,500 - £50,000
LOCATION: Coventry

As a Technical Accounting Analyst you’ll play a pivotal role in the Group Accounting and Reporting team, which is focused on ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance of JLR financial reporting.


This is a challenging and dynamic role encompassing all aspects of technical accounting, financial reporting processes and controls around them within a complex and expanding global business environment. You’ll be working a varied workload with opportunities to develop and implement new ideas.


As part of this role it is critical to develop strong network and work closely with various Group entities and functions, the Parent Corporate Reporting (TML) and Group auditors to enhance the quality of reporting events.


Your key responsibilities are to assist the Group Accounting and Reporting team in preparation of Jaguar Land Rover consolidated results, facilitate compliance and quality, work cross functionally across the wider business, ensure all process documentation is complete and kept up to date.


You’ll also participate in projects to improve internal controls, enhance management information packs to ensure that they meet the ingoing needs of the business, and support the Group Accounting and Reporting team in identifying opportunities for the development of reporting processes.




As the Technical Accounting Analyst you’ll be fully qualified with a professional Accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), and possess strong systems experience, particularly with Microsoft Office. You’ll also need to be highly driven, with a proactive approach. You’ll take good interpersonal skills to a new level by demonstrating a naturally engaging and persuasive style which, paired with enthusiasm, will allow you to make an impact across the wider finance community.


Additionally you’ll have strong business partnering skills where you can effectively build and nurture relationships with senior management, along with colleagues outside of finance.  You’ll need to have the ability to independently challenge existing thinking in a positive way, whilst building credibility and trust.


You’ll also need:

  • To work to strict deadlines
  • A background in implementing best practice around reporting
  • A strong Accounting technical expertise
