WHAT TO EXPECT

 

This role is for an Systems Architect within the Systems Group in Assisted and Automated Driving, this is a critical for delivering AAD technologies across multiple present and future Model Years. Focus is within the teams that develops and maintains System Health Management and Degradation concept for Level 2/3 ADAS.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

In this challenging, yet exciting position you will be expected to Perform System Design Failure Mode Effect analysis and develop System Health Management and degradation concept. It will be down to you to Derive System requirements and trace to Software requirements, Define APIs to cover system component design to meet sub system requirements. Additionally, you will have the responsibilities of designing robust software components and APIs based on the understanding of the subsystems functional & non-functional behaviours, interactions and degradations. You will be expected to collaborate with Hardware and Software teams to review requirements and resolve any conflict in requirements. Due to the nature of this position, you will be required to Work closely with HMI/UX/UI engineers to optimise fault management and customer experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

Essential:

 

  • System Design - the specification and design of systems and their components to meet defined needs, retaining compatibility with software architectures.
  • Model Based Language expertise (SysML, UML)
  • Automotive Diagnostics concepts & UDS services 
  • RAMS (Reliability Availability Serviceability Safety)
  • Good understanding of ADAS systems and the noise factor analysis
  • Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance

For promotions, the salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including the size of and skills required for the role, the external market value of the role and your individual knowledge and experience.
