This role is for Platform System Development within Assisted and Automated Driving group, this is a critical for delivering technologies across multiple present and future Model Years. Focus is within the teams that develops and maintain safety critical Hardware and Software Platform System fault monitoring & Degradation strategies, Requirements, Architecture definition and Software implementation. 
 

WHAT TO EXPECT 

 

In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for Hardware and Software platform design and development. Here’s what to expect:

 

  • Drive the definition of Hardware and Software fault handling strategies, platform system requirements
  • Lead the definition of E2E fault handling System and Software Architecture definition, design (MATLAB Simulink, Catia Magic MSOSA)
  • Support the implementation of fault handling solution for ECUs in AUTOSAR compliant framework, in an agile application life-cycle management meeting the JLR Quality Management System (CS QMS) and ISO26262 Standard
  • Collaborate with System , hardware, Software and Functional safety teams to deliver E2E fault handling solutions
  • Apply Systems Engineering methods to drive the design of complex safety critical hardware and software platform, hosting ADAS applications.
  • Support the definition of overall test strategy for the Hardware & Software platform
  • Work with the validation & verification teams to capture in the SW architecture design the test interfaces required for test evidence / issues investigation

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

 

  • Previous design and delivery experience with safety critical Autosar Classic & Adaptive based Automotive platforms
  • Expert knowledge in delivering solutions for ISO 26262 Part 5, Part 6
  • Previous design experience with Safety micro controllers, Performance SOCs, power architecture and intra ECU communication
  • Expert knowledge in capturing Hardware /Software platform solutions in UML/SYSML environment
  • Good understanding of Systems Engineering methodologies
  • Previous experience of delivering fault handling and diagnostics on Autosar based Automotive platforms
  • Familiar with Automotive software quality - MISRA, QAC/Polyspace and other methods
