What To Expect
This is an exciting position for a Battery Developer to work within the Energy Requirements team at Jaguar Land Rover. This is an exciting and progressive department where the latest battery technology is being developed and integrated into our vehicles.
The role is responsible for leading energy related requirements activity across the increasing range of Jaguar Land Rover’s electrified products for the battery design and release team. Reporting to the Battery Energy department, the role requires effective interaction with cross-domain teams to receive and manage requirements from conception, through programme gateways, and programme completion.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Manage and negotiate requirement targets with stakeholders to provide transparent, unambiguous requirements for the battery team to fulfil

Ensure robust timing plans are in place that achieve program milestones, providing relevant teams with notice to deliver required evidence.

Assist technical report writing, standards, test procedures, gateway reports and design rules.

Assist DFMEA activities at system and commodity level.

Drive issue resolution (AIMS, PR-AIMS) and associate processes to ensure that all changes are implemented robustly to support programme targets.
What You Will Need
Essential:
-
Previous experience of the automotive industry and systems engineering.
-
Strong technical background with experience of system engineering for battery electric vehicles.
-
Experience of requirements management and test cases.
-
Experience of system level and quality tools DFMEA.

Ability to organise and manage meetings generating agendas, capturing minutes and actions.
Desirable:
-
Ability to build and manage multiple internal relationships in complex stakeholder environments.

Previous experience of the automotive industry and systems engineering.
-
Experience of Thermal and Electrical Commodity delivery.
-
Knowledge of CAE and physical processes.
-
Knowledge of AGILE working principles.
