WHAT TO EXPECT

As Jaguar’s Customer Offer IT Manager, you are accountable for leading the formulation and implementation of Jaguar’s IT strategy to enable the identified business capabilities for the customer offer workstream through the appropriate selection, implementation and evolution of leading digital technology solutions. Agile and product-centric approaches will be key to delivering the vision and ensuring the technology not only achieves our Jaguar vision but supports continuously evolving dynamic requirements aligned to a modern luxury digital experience. You’ll collaborate with other cross-functional workstreams and IT professionals within a dedicated Jaguar team, alongside product teams and technical experts from within the core IT organisation such as Security, Infrastructure, Architecture and Service Delivery. There will also be a need to manage both strategic suppliers and strategic partners to ensure the seamless provision of technology to drive maximum business benefit across multiple national and international geographies, sites and platforms.

As the Customer Offer IT Manager, you will define, communicate and execute a robust product strategy, across multiple national and international geographies, sites and digital workplace platforms whilst ensuring that the stability of current operations is maintained and that the operating model, service levels, resources and cost-base are fit for purpose to support the Jaguar strategy. You will promote digital workplace & collaboration capabilities and common approaches to reduce costs and improve business efficiency within the Jaguar Land Rover environment and embrace hybrid working. Ensure that projects are aligned to business and IT strategies and do not duplicate functionality. You will understand business activities and its ambitions, strategically, commercially and culturally, to ensure the effective and timely provision of technology to support Jaguar’s agreed strategy and establish and improve service delivery levels for both current and future products & platforms and formulate a shared service approach for all business units and countries. Day to day, you will understand customer needs and validates solutions, serve as a primary product expert and formulate and drive the associated programme of work across existing and new products and through this, develop a strong customer focus that attracts end-user buy-in to IT initiatives. The Customer Offer IT Manager will be responsible for leading the product design, development and release process for assigned products and maintaining the product development roadmap and will drive product development with internal teams and external vendors as well as develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses. You will be responsible for leading a team/virtual team, with the support of the Head of IT, Jaguar, Enterprise/Solution Architect, Portfolio Management & Services Delivery for Jaguar. You will ensure both internal resources and 3rd party partners can deliver against the plan and will Identify and implement continuous improvement to products and services to maximise adoption & value from investments. You will work closely with other Jaguar domain Product managers to ensure alignment and interoperability of data capabilities and leverage innovation in complementary technologies and will manage stakeholders’ expectations concerning deliverables and identify risks on innovation initiatives as they are developed, working closely with the Programme Delivery Manager, as well as completing ongoing horizon scanning of relevant technologies and how these may impact in-flight innovation initiatives.

There will be a requirement to visit Jaguar Land Rover sites across the UK as required in support of delivering the Jaguar programme. There may be a need for overseas travel as the programme progresses.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As the Customer Offer IT Manager, you will be an individual with a customer-first mindset who is easy to do business with and makes people feel special, driven to deliver experiences that are personalised, transparent and dependable. Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Hands on experience with key enabling digital technologies relating to the creation and management of both vehicle and non-vehicle customer product offerings
  • Agile Delivery experience or eager to learn/develop quickly
  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level or above preferably in computing, systems, science/engineering or relevant business discipline
  • Product Management experience including delivery of entire technology-based products from start to finish
  • Proven delivery capability of complex multi-dimensional and cross-functional change projects
  • Project delivery experience covering analysis, design, test, deployment and operation of new products
  • Ability to successfully interact with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in the use of agile development methodologies
  • Sound understanding of disruptive technologies and innovation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in leading diverse teams, vendor staff management, mentoring and coaching junior staff to maximise performance
  • Track record of innovation and self-learning. 

 

Desirable:

  • International experience in working for luxury consumer brands
  • International experience ideally working for Blue-chip organisations
  • Proven strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop and nurture relationships internally operations and externally with suppliers
  • Qualified Skills Framework for the Information Age at level 5 or working towards
