Be at the forefront of innovation at JLR as a Lead Business Planner. You will lead and manage all planning and delivery activities of our Materiality design team as part of a joint venture with our external automotive partner. 


This is a unique opportunity to support the Senior Materiality Manager in shaping both the design and operational processes, that will bring a new brand and its products to life.


WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Lead the planning and coordination of Materiality team workloads, ensuring alignment with project and programme timelines, and driving on time delivery of all Materiality-related outputs
  • Act as a key liaison between Materiality, Design Programme Management, Creative Modelling, and external suppliers to ensure excellent, proactive seamless communication, dependency management, and issue resolution
  • Develop and maintain detailed timing plans, track actions, escalate risks, and proactively resolve issues to support successful programme execution across UK and China operations
  • Oversee material procurement, model planning, and logistics, including budget tracking and financial order processing to support programme requirements efficiently
  • Drive process improvements, resource optimisation, and foster a collaborative team environment, contributing to a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Excellent collaborator
  • Experience of planning, monitoring and delivering projects within a Creative / Design team/ Studio environment
  • Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation
  • Experience of implementing process improvements
  • Ability to identify and manage current and future risks on multiple Creative led projects / programmes, being capable of developing contingency plans and successfully engaging a cross functional team to align to these plans
