WHAT TO EXPECT 

 

Working within the Interior Creation team you will be responsible for the conceptualisation and design development of all visible parts of future interiors. You will lead a team of designers, working closely with physical and digital modellers as well as colleagues in Experience Design, Colour & Materials and Studio Engineering. 

 

This is a creative role with involvement in the creation of brand new designs, through to the development of virtual and physical design properties to the highest level of maturity and refinement

             

 

WHAT YOULL NEED

 

Essential: 

  • Ability to communicate ideas verbally and visually using images and 3D geometry. 

  • Proven experience of aesthetic judgement of line, surface and form. 

  • Broad knowledge of engineering and production techniques and processes, and strong market / business acumen. 

  • Previous experience of the generation of designs for production and concept vehicles. 

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred. 

  • Proficient in freehand sketching and 3D rendering using Photoshop or similar. 

  • Proven experience of leading projects. 

  • Strong level of organisational skills. 

  • An effective team player, actively developing and supporting team members. 

  

Desirable: 

  • Competent in use of MS Office applications, especially Powerpoint, and some experience of 3D visualisation apps such as Alias (Sub D), VRED, Maya, Blender. 

  • Previous experience of the automotive industry, including competitor and market awareness. 

  • Some experience or knowledge of all design roles, from concept generation to production ready design delivery. 

  • Worked on a project to production stages.
