Reflecting the company’s Re-Imagined business priorities and the cycle plan, this exiting dual branded design role within the newly formed Experience and Digital design team, will have the opportunity to create highly desirable future Jaguar and Land Rover customer experiences. Experiences designed to build brand allure, enhance the product offering, emotionally connect and seamlessly integrate into our customers lifestyles.

 

You will be challenged daily to create new, modern, reductive and engaging experiences that celebrate these opportunities and embrace new forms of digital customer engagement. Working cross functionally on experience design initiatives with digital experience development, Global Customer insights, Marketing and commercial teams, you will lead the Experience design development across all digital platforms both in the vehicles and off board.

 

In this role, you can expect to be primarily accountable for the creation of a highly desirable luxury experience for Jaguar and Land Rover’s house of Brands - considering all key touchpoints throughout the whole customer-brand engagement journey. You will required to bring an informed understanding and passion for luxury brands and behaviours, the opportunities arising from digitalisation of mobility and connected services. As well as strong sensibility for visual brand identity are essential for you to create our future distinctive, intuitive and seamless experiences for our discerning customers.

 

To compliment with the above, you will be expected to research and analyse the implications and opportunities arising from evolving customer expectations, advances in technology, materials and the HMi.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

Within this role, you’ll need experience in the creation and delivery of Luxury experiences across digital platforms, alongside a deep passion and understanding the future: Technologies, customer values and behaviours, Proven experience in either automotive CX design or having delivered relevant CX projects from start to finish.

 

You’ll also need a broad understanding and sensibility for Luxury experiences creation, Autonomy and assisted driving, On and off board experiences and AI/advances in material technology, interface design and HMi and a strong sensibility to graphic design and proven experience working for Luxury brands.

 

You should be proficient in illustration and visual evaluation skills to visually and verbally communicate ideas and solutions. A successful candidate will also have proven experience of aesthetic judgement of surface, surface juxtaposition and appearance and will have a broad knowledge of engineering and production techniques and processes, and strong market / business acumen.

 

All candidates with be expected to supply their design portfolio to the Hiring Team.

 

Key skills and experience:

 

Essential:

  • Previous experience of the generation of experience and digital designs for production and concept vehicles, including experience of visualising and communicating design solutions in 2D and 3D
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred Information Experience Design/Service design / Intelligent Mobility / Product Design / Global innovation design / Digital direction
  • Essential IT skill – high level of Photoshop / Illustrator/ Powerpoint/ Research tools: Miro
  • Proven experience of leading projects
  • Strong level of organisational skills

 

Desirable:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Design related systems, e.g. ALIAS / VRED
  • Prototyping tools: / After effects / XD / Figma./ 3D tools: 3D Studio Max / Cinema 4D / Blender.
  • Previous experience of the automotive industry, including competitor and market awareness
  • Some experience or knowledge of all design roles, from concept generation to production ready design delivery
  • Worked on a Experience and digital design projects in the Luxury segment to a production stage
