Join JLR as a Lead Integration Engineer within Infotainment and Connectivity, and play a key role in shaping the in-car experience across our next generation of vehicles. Sitting within the Entertainment and Productivity Functional Group, you’ll be at the centre of delivering features that customers interact with every day, from audio and video streaming to IP and terrestrial radio, app ecosystems and rear-seat entertainment.
This is a hands-on, technically focused role where you’ll lead the integration of complex features across the infotainment platform and wider vehicle systems. You’ll be working at the intersection of software, hardware and connectivity, ensuring seamless performance, high quality delivery and a consistently strong user experience. It’s an opportunity to work on high-visibility products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring together multiple technologies into a cohesive end result.

WHAT TO EXPECT
In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting the wider team through a range of responsibilities, including –
- Lead hands-on integration of entertainment features across test rigs and vehicles, planning and executing end-to-end test activities across multiple platforms (including radio reception and variable connectivity testing)
- Own and maintain entertainment test rigs, ensuring the team always has stable, up-to-date test properties available
- Conduct defect triage, root cause analysis and deep system-level troubleshooting across hardware, software and network interfaces, including capturing and analysing logs from Android, QNX, Linux and vehicle networks
- Generate and analyse feature/system performance indicators, producing metrics for project reporting and driving optimisation against KPI’s
- Lead and support issue investigation and resolution in manufacturing plants
- Actively contribute to functional group leadership activities (day-to-day operations, status, risks, prioritisation and decision making, PI/sprint planning), and coordinate and mentor junior team members
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
We’re looking for someone with the right blend of experience, qualifications, and practical skills, including –
- Significant experience working with complex systems spanning multiple virtual machines or physical units, alongside hands-on delivery of infotainment systems and components or equivalent software and hardware systems
- Ability to deep dive into entertainment features while maintaining a strong understanding of the broader system and other feature areas
- Comfortable working with Android systems, with a solid understanding of Android architecture and core concepts
- Experience in authoring and reviewing test cases, with strong attention to detail and quality
- Full, clean driving license required, as the role includes drive testing
- Able to work independently and proactively, taking full ownership and responsibility for deliverables while remaining fully invested in successful outcomes and the wider team’s objectives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, influence stakeholders, learn new tools and concepts quickly
