Creative Modelling (CM) is a multi-disciplined department, ranging from office-based engineers and project staff, through to highly skilled CNC machinists, composite laminators, trimmers, painters and workshop modellers all working together to visualise the ideations of our Creative team, developing our Modern Luxury vehicles. Our deliverables include Aesthetic Confirmation Models (ACM), Full Exterior and Interior Models, the creation of Bespoke Model Parts, Scale Models and Materiality requirements from display content to full assets all using a wide variety of processes and technology.
The role of Project Lead will support the delivery of projects/physical assets by understanding the scope of the request, bringing together the team to agree a plan of action, creating project plans (including budgets), co-ordinating all the suppliers including external to meet the deadline, communicating status with the customers, assisting to resolve issues, delivering the asset and collecting/sharing feedback.

- Management of multiple projects utilising project management techniques to ensure the delivery and achievement of planned outcomes to support the achievement of strategic business objectives at Gaydon
- Lead projects and work streams; from scoping to delivery and including cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management ensuring project delivery to required timescale, quality and cost
- Collaborating with the operational business to understand current processes and to document and prioritise requirements for changes and additions
- Collaborating with the operational business on where step changes can be introduced and included in the project
- Management of required Governance, including milestone reporting, project status reporting, financial reporting and risk and issue management
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Experience of management of complex projects with a track record of delivery
- Experience of a known project management software for tracking and planning projects
- Analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base
- Experience of Problem Resolution using structured approaches
- Experience of negotiation with respect to project delivery and supplier planning
