Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) is responsible for designing and creating a portfolio of brand extending products inspired by our two brands – Jaguar and Land Rover. We produce vehicles for our most discerning, demanding and enthusiastic customers. Our role is to amplify and build on Jaguar and Land Rover’s core brand positioning – namely Jaguar Art of Performance and Land Rover Above & Beyond.
The NVH attribute team are responsible for delivering exciting aural feedback to compliment the outstanding dynamic performance of SVO vehicles, as well as ensuring that all SVO upgrades demonstrate appropriate levels of in-cabin and exterior noise and vibration.
This involves:

You will be the primary point of contact for the SVO NVH team for your project, both within Vehicle Engineering and across the wider engineering teams, representing the NVH risks and opportunities at standard meeting forums

You will need to lead cross functional teams to resolve technical incompatibilities where programme content is insufficient to deliver the NVH targets, working to meet programme gateway requirements, including timing, cost, weight and feasibility

You will work closely with the other members of the NVH SVO team, to agree priorities for your projects in the weekly workload review, supporting the other members of the team as appropriate
- You will lead the planning work to ensure the appropriate vehicles, NVH tools and skilled engineers are available to efficiently deliver the SVO programmes to target for each Gateway
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Strong communication skills and the ability to influence other departments and management
-
Strong understanding of vehicle NVH theory and principles
-
Good understanding of customer expectations for NVH performance in premium vehicles
-
Strong familiarity with using NVH acquisition and analysis hardware & software
-
Experience of testwork using NVH facilities to support NVH investigations
-
Understanding of chassis / body structures required to deliver good NVH performance
-
Proven ability to lead NVH problem identification and resolution
-
Project management skills, including experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously

Experience of programme and project delivery processes – knowledge of JLR tools eg PDCS, RMDV, AIMs, PALS, SOI and Panel Charts will be advantageous
