You will be essential in the delivery of physically accurate digital materials using a strong understanding of photography, optics, and digital scanning techniques and to support a variety of on-board and off-board CGI use cases, across Vehicle Design, Materiality, Brand and Customer Ready workstreams, using cross-functional collaboration and support.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of the Design Technical pillar within Creative, you will be:
- Capturing, analysing and studying various inputs to generate accurate and complex digital textures and materials according to Tech and Data Hub’s strict output standards
- Closely liaising with Production Planners to achieve realistic and accurate scheduling and be accountable for delivery timings and status updates
- Imparting knowledge and mentoring the team with specialist knowledge of digital textures and material creation that supports the Tech & Data Hub Model Production Standards and Processes
- Creating and delivering training support of CGI texture and material creation techniques, process, and associated software packages
- Identifying and creating solutions to ensure optimal quality of all work produced by the team and identify areas for ongoing development
- Constructively critique materials created by others in the production team
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills you'll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- In-depth experience of texturing and material/shader creation within CGI industry
- Expert understanding of real-world materials, energy conserving principles, and physically based rendering and shader models
- Expert in building and maintaining complex shading networks, with a focus on methodical and efficient design
- Experience in analysis and study of physical inputs to generate accurate and complex digital textures and materials
- In-depth experience in material creation using VRay renderer with Autodesk Maya
- Expert in material creation using Unreal Engine
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator)
