The role is primarily based in Gaydon, UK, within a collaborative and highly capable engineering team. Occasional travel to China will be required to support supplier engagement and project delivery. If you enjoy taking responsibility, working across disciplines and solving difficult technical problems that matter, this role offers genuine scope to make an impact.

  • Apply structured defect resolution methodologies (such as 8D and 5 Whys), with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and permanent fixes
  • Use strong analytical and technical judgement to assess complex problems, drive root‑cause analysis, innovate where needed and make sound decisions
  • Influence and persuade cross‑functional teams to remove blockers, maintain momentum and deliver to agreed quality and timescales
  • Operate confidently in a fast‑paced, agile, start‑up‑like environment, thinking on your feet and adapting to changing priorities
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, communicating effectively at all levels and driving alignment and consensus across teams

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of experience, recognised training, and capabilities such as –

  • Proven experience working on complex automotive engineering projects, ideally within ADAS or similar safety‑critical systems
  • Previous experience delivering software in a technical automotive environment, with exposure to AUTOSAR and POSIX‑based platforms
  • Strong background in software development or technical leadership, with the ability to drive direct issue resolution
  • Experience across engineering product management, product development, product ownership or engineering delivery roles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Demonstrable delivery of software using agile engineering methods, such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe
