WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The role will be within the Chassis and Motion Control Systems team, forming part of the Body/Chassis Engineering Department. The team develops control systems and delivers software design for existing and future Chassis, Electrical, ADAS Motion Control, and various new technologies and enhancing the driving experience and working towards the goal of autonomous driving.

 

The role is leading agile methodology as well as the development of next generation ADAS motion control systems within a team specialised in the creation and deployment of ADAS lateral and longitudinal motion control. The control systems being developed cover a wide range of autonomy from ADAS level 1 to ADAS level 4

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Own and manage project plan at high level for the entire team. Report out at regular intervals.
  • Helping the agile team focus on creating high-value product increments which meet requirements.
  • Ensuring that scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
  • Safekeep and deploy methods for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.
  • Leading the definition of logical system design and requirements for motion control.
  • Leading the definition of system architectures for motion control to be compatible with the next generation of vehicle electrical architectures.
  • Generating technical evidence to show that architectures meet Jaguar Landrover standards and system performance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a system development plan in line with system engineering best practices within an agile framework.
  • Lead delivery of required the documentation of control system at logical and implementation levels.
  • Identifying requirements for cascade to elements beyond the control system boundary (e.g. sensors, electrical architecture, ECU base software etc).
  • Define network communication requirements for the deployment of control systems. Submit requirements into the networks design process with documentation and providing support throughout the approvals process.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Essential:

  • Expert level project management experience working with large multidisciplinary project teams
  • Experienced in Model Based Control System Design
  • An understanding of vehicle network communications, ECUs and electronics
  • Prior experience of Model Based software delivery for safety critical systems in accordance with a quality management process.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience of having worked in an agile methodology
  • Experience of working with mechatronic actuation systems.
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety and Cyber Security tools and processes.
  • Matlab Simulink experience.
  • An understanding of Chassis Control systems and their influence on vehicle dynamic behaviour.
  • An understanding of AutoSAR software architectures.
  • Experience with following software applications; DOORS, RTC, Visio, Rhapsody
