As a Vehicle Integration Senior Engineer here at JLR, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our next-generation vehicles to life by ensuring seamless integration across complex systems and components. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence, resolve integration challenges, and deliver premium performance, quality, and customer experience. WHAT TO EXPECT 

In this role, no two days are the same. With lots of projects and relationships to build with people across the business and beyond, it’s a challenge that will help your career grow within an iconic organisation. Here’s what to expect:

• Lead the delivery of systems within VP-FM&A across the range of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles
• Lead technical alignment of Vehicle Platform Systems within programmes to deliver attribute and cost targets
• Understand interdependencies of Body Chassis Commodities and Systems and develop balanced technical solutions
• Accurate records management / issue control of engineering data in a fast paced environment, enabling seamless transition to Core Tech Centres at handover to deliver post <PD>
• Work with the Body Chassis functions to ensure Technical Benchmarking supports delivery of world class products to quality, cost and time

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

• Ability to generate early 3D concept proposals / sketches – CAD surface / solid modelling skills
• A confident individual who is comfortable working in a multidisciplined team
• Good mechatronic engineering understanding and able to make the link between engineering solutions and cost /weight / attribute / Creative
• Good awareness of the manufacturing environment, processes / constraints / design for Manufacture
• Experience of component and system development through the Concept phase of PCDS
