Based out of our corporate headquarters in Mahwah, NJ, the Jaguar Land Rover Brand Experience team is an integral part of the JLR Marketing group, with key responsibility for creating and executing the strategy for brand experiences, global events and exhibitions, partnerships, and branded entertainment. As part of the Brand Experience team, the Experiential Specialist, Defender & Discovery will report directly to the Brand Experience Manager, Defender & Discovery.

 

The role of this position is to broaden Defender & Discovery’s product and brand awareness through branded experiences and partnerships, drive retailer traffic through qualified leads and source and identify highly qualified prospects with purchase intent. The Specialist will work closely with agency partners to plan, create and execute experiential events including product launch events, retailer-facing meetings and conferences, promotional brand activations, partnership activations, and more. This role is also responsible for actively searching, strategically developing and analyzing potential brand appropriate like-minded opportunities, as well as providing administrative support including budgeting and metrics reporting.

 

What you will be doing:

  • This role supports three key marketing areas; Experiential Marketing, Events, Partnerships and Branded Entertainment with brand appropriate like-minded companies;
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities developing the strategy, and planning and implementation of Defender & Discovery’s consumer experiences;
  • Develop budgets and support administrative financial functions including estimate approval, PO creation, maintenance, and post-program reconciliation;
  • Plan and manage resources including fleet and property assets with internal and agency partners across multiple channels;
  • Responsible for activating and managing various agency partners and third party vendors, including event staff;
  • Responsible for maintaining highest level of brand execution and consistency with overall brand message and strategic direction;
  • Develop team spirit and positive staff engagement;
  • Liaison with the JLR regional and local field marketing team, as well as cross-functional departments including finance, legal, purchasing, communications, public relations, information technology, facilities, fleet, global office, and more;
  • Perform other duties as required

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related discipline;
  • 5 years of Experiential Marketing and/or Event Marketing experience;
  • Experience with corporate event planning a must;
  • Strategy development, planning and activation skills;
  • Previous work experience with budgets and budget management;
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills;
  • Automotive and/or luxury product background preferred;
  • Strong management and communication skills;
  • Team player with ability to navigate corporate culture and interdepartmental relations;
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, required;
  • Business acumen and leadership credibility;
  • Energetic, self-motivated and driven for results;
  • Ability to travel as required (approximately 50%+);
  • Includes occasional weekend and evening work hours.

 

 

Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)

 

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
