POSITION: Property & Facilities Manager

Reporting to the Vice President - People & Places, the successful person will have a wide remit of managing, optimizing and delivering property and facilities services for JLR North America. The role is a key part of the People and Places team, delivering a great people experience through the enviornment we create throughout our estate across North America. They will lead operational frameworks to enable the delivery of facilities management services with through a small in house team supported by third party service providers.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Ownership of property & facilities scope for the building estate within responsibility to ensure that all tasks that are JLR responsibility are allocated under contract
  • Measurement of SLAs and KPIs to govern supplier performance.
  • Ownership of facilities management and catering contracts within JLR North America and provide strategic and operational direction alongside performance management of third-party vendors.
  • Management of regulatory compliance to ensure planned maintenance and reactive maintenance is completed and all works required / recommended from planned inspections are logged, priced, completed as appropriate
  • Leadership of contracts managed, direct and influenced to set direction in conjunction with stakeholders and ensure supplier performance is appropriately measured and that suppliers are held to account
  • Ensuring services and contracts managed directly and through direct reports are successfully delivered across the estate to satisfaction of stakeholders
  • Ensuring appropriate process documentation are developed and maintained
  • Coordination and link into wider Estate Management and Property teams
  • Coordination and link into other stakeholders (Purchasing, Finance etc.)
  • Management of sustainability agenda and work with supplier stakeholders to minimize energy use and manage specific project initiatives including energy/carbon reduction activities
  • Management of vendor (landlord) relationships for all property related payments
  • Developing facility 5 yr CAPEX plans and seek approval and execution of strategy.
  • Perform other duties as required

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not essential. Equivalent work experience is what is most important.
  • Experience of leading a Real Estate and facilities management team.
  • Strong leadership, team management and delivery focused mindset.
  • Commercial acumen
  • Strong experience with Project planning and execution
  • Data-driven performance management and improvement experience
  • Budget management experience
  • Strong Communication & influencing skills
  • Understanding/working knowledge of business operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, and must be comfortable presenting to all levels of management;
  • Must have strong business acumen, and the ability to work with people at varying levels with the organization and network;

 

 

Schedule:  Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)

Travel: 20% of time based on business needs.
